MONSTER MINIS REVEALED

Backers, it has been an amazing ride so far. We have unlocked so many great minis, explored Asunder, and I have loved hearing all the feedback on the game. Some of which have resulted in changes. We are very close to unlocking our next stretch goal, the print version of the campaign module (everyone who has already purchased it or got it day-one will automatically be upgraded). With this being our last week, I wanted to reveal our final three stretch goals: THE MONSTER MINIS! These sculpts are between 70-80mm tall with the Devourer's wingspan taking its height to 129mm. Truly epic! Spread the word and help us unlock them all. They will automatically be added to the Keeper's Path.

NOTE: We have included an add-on where you can now purchase the set of Seeker Minis if you did not go with the Keeper's Path, but still wanted them.

ASUNDER: LIVING GEAR

NO MAGICAL WEAPONS HERE

The word of Asunder does not have magic or magical weapons. Instead, it has Living Gear. While most mundane things in Asunder have plant and insect components, Living Gear refers to items constructed with unique powers. They are crafted from plants, insects, or crustaceans, depending on which origin its maker hails from. They must be bonded to a living person and feed off them daily to stay alive. Yes, your favorite thorn spitter can die if not attached to you for a period of time. There is an invasive physical link between human and their Living Gear. Player characters must feed their living gear one health point a day and generally only bond to one. They take on Strain, which can have disastrous effects, to bond with more.

Below are a few of the many living gear items in The Seeker's Guide, which includes rules to make your own. The Bounty Hunter's Friend is a thorn spitting cannon with medium-range that injects a paralysis poison into each thorn and is plant-based. The Seeker's Pack is a prime example of mundane gear that uses plants and insect items. It has a vine grappling hook, a bioluminescent "torch," and a preying-mantis buckler. The Deep Mask is crustacean based and allows for underwater breathing. The Rage Mask is made for Seafarers boarding other ships and injects a strength and health boost into its wearer, but comes with a pretty mean side effect to balance it out.

ASUNDER: REGENERATION

BODY CONDITIONING ESSENCE TREE

The Essence of the Black Isle people turned inward centuries ago, allowing them incredible control of their bodies. Through force of thought, they can endure impossible temperatures, ignore afflictions like paralysis or poison, and at higher levels even command their cells to regenerate. They focus their daily energy on training in martial arts making their bodies their greatest weapon. They are bred to fight demons, and this is the only way they can survive.

ASUNDER: CAPTAIN OF THE SKY

SOME CAN RIDE THE WIND

The Blice crystals of Sky City can alter the effects of gravity. The people there have mounted them to ships and, by linking their Essence to them, have taken them to the skies. Their vessels range in size from surfboard sized skiffs to rowboats to massive galleys. These captains are the lifeblood of Sky City as they move goods to and from the isles and are a wonder wherever they travel. The people of the Mainland have an unusual fascination with taking to the skies.

Most captains work for the Seven Ruling Families. However, some work directly against them. They are outlaws to some and heroes to the poor. Sky Captain is a Path available to Seekers. It grants them a vessel, a small crew (which can be the other Seekers in the group), and travel skills. This makes for great storytelling, and some of the most compelling journies are set around the "crew" of a skyship whose mission is to boldly go where no man has gone before.

ASUNDER: THE TRUE KING OF THE BLACK ISLE

DEMONS MAKE THE MOST ALLURING OFFERS

The Demons were the Gods first attempt at creating offspring. It was a failure. A truth that has formed a heated enmity between demons and humans. Their desire now is to rid the world of humans and thereby erasing the truth that they were a mistake. They live underground in the tunnels underneath the Black Isle and pour of The Great Scar. Their birthing pits are in subterranean lakes and not even the Demon Hunters of the Black Isle know how to find them. The people of the Black Isle believe this is their solemn duty, to hold the line between demons and humans.

However, demons are crafty. Their most dangerous gift is not that their terrifying strength, but their false promises. A few people of the Black Isle, exhausted with the endless war, have made deals with the Demon King himself and become bonded to him.  This gives them dark powers, but also horns, a mark that cannot be missed.

Through the help of the demon bonded, demons have begun to leave the Black Isle and venture to the Mainland. Some say they are trying to find the ancient tunnels there so they can link them with those in the Black Isle. Demons often give their blood to humans as a gift of strength, but in time it only makes the person an addict, bringing them back for more. This is a Path a Seeker can take. The Ravager Path is for those who seek power and rage from their addiction.
